New York State Refuses to Ban Bigfoot Hunting

It’s a beautiful autumn day. You’re out hunting in upstate New York. You’re looking for deer, maybe pheasant, but instead, you happen to stumble upon a Bigfoot. Do you shoot it? Leave it alone? Nobody knows, because the state has failed to offer any guidelines about Bigfoot hunting! That’s why Peter Wierner of the Chautauqua Lake Bigfoot Expo recently wrote to the Department of Environmental Conservation seeking protection for the noble beast. They actually wrote back:

This mythical animal does not exist in nature or otherwise. I understand, however, that some well organized hoaxes or pranks have occurred, leading some people to believe that such an animal does live. However, the simple truth of the matter is that there is no such animal anywhere in the World. I am sorry to disappoint you. However, no program or action in relation to mythical animals is warranted.

So … you can hunt it, yeah?
