A very upset and violent individual in Hamilton Heights sent six cops to the hospital today after they attempted to arrest him for allegedly beating his 67-year-old grandmother. Dominick Anderson, 27, was Tasered and pepper-sprayed as he struck at least one NYPD officer in the head with “a plastic elephant tusk,” causing chaos in a tiny apartment, the New York Times reports. Two of the officers were called into the apartment for help by Anderson’s mother, but they apparently needed backup. The grandmother is reportedly in critical but stable condition, while Anderson was sent for a psychological evaluation before being charged.
