New York governor Andrew Cuomo didn’t reveal the real ace up his sleeve — that he’s the governor of New York — until well into his haggling to buy a white 1996 Ford Bronco for his teenage daughter. According to the Daily Freeman, Cuomo only told Hudson Valley dealer Bob Siracusano who he was after asking his political affiliation (independent), and even then, the negotiations continued. “[T]o get texts back and forth from the governor, that was the best part of it,” Siracusano said. “I would be sitting at home at night and the governor would text me, ‘What about the tires? What about this? What about that? Can we do this? Can we do that?’” The deal eventually got done, and we all got some insight into how the magic happens up in Albany.
