A woman on a bicycle was fatally struck by a Citywide Demolition and Rubbish Removal truck on East 23rd Street near Madison Avenue early this afternoon, the New York Post reports. Photos and tweets from the scene paint a tragic, disturbing picture. “He clipped her, and she just rolled and fell underneath the wheel,” said a witness. According to another, “People started screaming, ‘Stop, stop!’ to the driver,” who was reportedly being interviewed by police at the scene.
