Finally, Someone Let Mark Teixeira Rock

Whenever Mark Teixeira would walk to the plate at Yankee Stadium to the sounds of “I Wanna Rock” by Twisted Sister, we assumed it was because Mark Teixeira is sort of a boring, robotic dude, and choosing that song was the most literal way he could think of to express his desire to rock. So Tuesday night was a big one for Tex: He took the stage with the cast of Broadway’s Rock of Ages, allowing him, at long last, to rock. (Well, sort of: He wasn’t allowed to sing solo, but he did get to wear a studded wristband and a custom vest with his number on one side and a skull-and-crossbones on the other, so, good enough.)
