A Westchester school was locked down this morning when a middle-aged man with an Irish accent tried to enter with a gun on his waist, the Journal News reports, but he didn’t intend to cause a stir. The individual said he worked as a security guard, hence the gun, and he simply forgot an item of clothing at the pool over the weekend, according to police. Understandably, staff at Hommocks Middle School in Mamaroneck still denied him entry and called the cops, who will stick around through tomorrow morning, just in case. “The man made no threats and was described as pleasant,” police said, but no word on the missing garment.
