We’re not really sure what happened or whose fault it was, but while taking the oath of office this afternoon, President Obama failed to successfully complete the word “states” when repeating the phrase “the office of president of the United States.” So, Joe Biden is actually president from now on.
Just kidding! Luckily, this was just the pretend swearing-in; the real one took place in a small, private ceremony yesterday.
Still, though, this is two inaugurations in a row that the oath of office has been botched. Maybe next time we can practice a little more.
