When then-State Senator Shirley Huntley was arrested in August, the Queens representative said she had “no idea what this is about,” but she obviously remembered because on Wednesday she pleaded guilty to embezzling $87,700 from a non-profit she founded. Earlier this month, Huntley told the Queens Chronicle she had “no plans” for the future after losing November’s election, which is just as well because she faces two years in prison as part of her plea deal.
Mueller’s sentencing memo in Paul Manafort’s DC case was due today … here’s what may be going on assuming it doesn’t show up in the next 45 min:
1. They’ve filed under seal, and once a redacted version is okay’d we’ll get it soon.
2. They missed the deadline. Option 1 is what’s happened in the past during the plea deal breach briefing (and sometimes the lawyers wouldn’t publicly confirm they’d filed at all), and is much more likely than option
