In a speech last night to a conservative group, Texas governor Rick Perry suggested that while vocal gun-control advocate Andrew Cuomo probably wouldn’t want to be a Texan, “if he were truthful, you could say that the economic climate that has allowed the state to grow and create jobs, he’d dearly love to be able to stand up and say, ‘We did this in New York.’ But he can’t.” However, Perry would probably kill for Cuomo’s ability to put together an eloquent sentence, so it’s a wash.
