The bus drivers’ strike got even nastier on Wednesday when tires a dozen idle buses in a yard in Greenpoint were found slashed or flattened. Police are still looking for a concrete link to the strike, the New York Post reports, but the Daily News points out that “the company that owns the buses, Reliant Transportation, had sought to hire replacements for striking bus drivers,” known in union parlance as “scabs.”
