‘47 Percent’ Video Earns Jimmy Carter’s Grandson Praise From Two Presidents

On Thursday night, Jimmy Carter gushed about his grandson, James Carter IV, the opposition researcher who unearthed the “47 Percent” video, telling Piers Morgan that it was “a major factor, if not the major factor” in the election. “Carter won Obama the election,” joked Morgan. “I think so,” Carter said, laughing. President Obama finally got a chance to thank the younger Carter last week when he visited Atlanta. James Carter IV tells CNN that when the president was told he found the video, “Obama said, ‘Hey, great, get over here.’ And then he kind of half-embraced me, I want to say, put his arm around me, and we shook hands. He thanked me for my support, several times.” Apparently delivering the election doesn’t earn you a stay in the Lincoln Bedroom, or even a high five.
