It has not been a good month for the Pistorius family: First, Olympic runner Oscar Pistorius was charged with murder for shooting his girlfriend on Valentine’s Day, and now — two days after Oscar made bail — it’s emerged that his older brother, Carl, faces a culpable homicide charge for killing a female motorcyclist in a 2008 traffic accident. “There is no doubt that Carl is innocent,” said his lawyer, who added that the older Pistorius “deeply regrets the accident.” The family also released a statement pointing out that the charges against Carl had been withdrawn at one point, but, either way, it now looks like they’re going to be spending a lot of time in court.
