A Ravens Player Got Away With Shoving an Official During Tonight’s Super Bowl

The lights are back on at the Superdome, but this is worth revisiting from the first half. NFL officials miss calls all the time — but you wouldn’t expect them to miss a call when a player, you know, shoves an official. That’s what happened during the second quarter tonight, though: Cary Williams of the Ravens appeared to shove an official following an Ed Reed interception, but wasn’t even flagged. Via USA Today, touching an official can result in ejection, but it’s up to the judgment of the on-field officials.
