British primatologist Dr Jane Goodall delivers a speech during a presentation at the National Museum on January 26, 2013 in Nairobi. The Great Apes Survival Partnership [GRASP] ambassador Dr. Goodall gave a presentation on “Reason for Hope” regarding endangered species, particularly chimpanzees. The Jane Goodall Institute works to protect the famous chimpanzees of Gombe National Park in Tanzania, but recognizes this can?t be accomplished without a comprehensive approach that addresses the needs of local people who are critical to chimpanzee survival.

The Washington Post has discovered that Jane Goodall’s new book, which is about plants because don’t pigeonhole Jane Goodall, contains passages taken directly from Wikipedia and other websites. Goodall, the nicest-seeming person in the world, promised to correct the matter in subsequent printings and apologized for making a monkey of herself.
