It’s Catholic tradition for the pope, like Jesus, to wash the feet of lesser men on Holy Thursday, in an act of humbling. But Pope Francis is so humble — as we’ve heard repeatedly, he cooks his own food and takes the bus — that today, at a juvenile detention center, he “included two young women — the first time a pope included females in the rite.” Finally making strides in the church, ladies.
