Winter Storm Saturn Dropped Some Snow on NYC After All

When storms get names, we expect them to be severe, so initial forecasts for what’s being called Saturn seemed underwhelming. Yesterday’s disgusting drizzle didn’t help. Still, New Yorkers woke up to white this morning, while New England is getting the worst of it. “We are watching a conveyor belt of wave after wave of snow coming in over the Atlantic,” a National Weather Service meteorologist told NBC, forecasting between three inches and a foot from Connecticut to Massachusetts and Rhode Island. New York City is getting more like one or two inches, a.k.a. way more than enough for people to post pictures of and/or complain about on social media.

You get the idea — it looks pretty much the same every time. Barack Obama is not impressed:
