Marijuana-growing operations are comparatively rare in New York, what with the frequently “insane” real estate market. Last time we heard about a good old-fashioned grow-house bust, police were pulling 800 six-f00t-tall pot plants out of a Bronx building. On Tuesday, they had an even bigger haul: Cops found 1,000 marijuana plants in a warehouse in Long Island City, and based on the photo distributed by the NYPD, they’re not exactly seedlings.
