An off-duty police officer is believed to have shot and killed her 1-year-old child and her boyfriend (or husband?) in Brooklyn before turning the gun on herself, according to the NYPD. Authorities responded to the family’s home in East Flatbush this morning and found three bodies after neighbors heard fighting. According to the New York Post, “The shooter’s 19-year-old son from a previous marriage was also in the house at the time, but was able to escape unharmed through a back window and ran into police as they arrived on the scene.” The suspect, a cop since 2000, was assigned to the 108th Precinct in Queens.
