Brandon Goal, a 20-year-old NYU junior, found out yesterday that fake guns are as bad as real guns in some cases when he was arrested for making and selling airsoft rifles, which look like assault weapons. “In this day and age, especially given recent events at Virginia Tech and Newtown, Conn., the University will respond swiftly to protect the safety of our community when there is even a possibility of gun involvement,” said the school, while Goal’s roommates were considerably more chill, calling it “just a hobby.” Predictably, Goal is from Texas, which will gladly take him back.
