Leopold McLean, the NYPD detective and former bodyguard to Mayor Michael Bloomberg who shot his girlfriend’s ex-boyfriend in the butt after guarding Bloomberg’s daughter Georgina, has been convicted of attempted murder. He faces at least five years in prison for the shooting he initially didn’t report, and total disappointment in his goal of not bringing attention to his high-profile unit.
