Chris Hadfield Is Now the Most Famous Canadian Astronaut on Earth

Chris Hadfield, the first Canadian astronaut to command the International Space Station, was not a viral sensation when he left Earth last December. But, now that he has nearly one million followers on Twitter and a YouTube cover of David Bowie’s Space Oddity that collected almost four million views in one day, he certainly is. The Soyuz spacecraft parachuted into the steppes of Kazakhstan on Monday night, carrying Hadfield, American Tom Marshburn, and Russian Roman Romanenko back to Earth. They’re all achievers, but only one of them has a burgeoning recording career.
