In a recent New York Times Magazine tell-all, Anthony Weiner took the first steps toward humanizing himself in the eyes of voters, portraying himself as a reformed man battling and overcoming personal obstacles. Now, in her own interview with the Times, Christine Quinn — in what the paper deems an effort to “soften her often rough-edged political image” — sees Weiner’s obsession with Internet crotch photography and raises him bulimia and alcoholism, both of which she suffered from for a decade until she entered rehab when she was 26 years old. “It seemed like the greatest idea I had ever heard,” Quinn says of purging, which she began doing around the time her mother was dying of cancer.
