A computer belonging to alleged Boston bomber Dzhokhar Tsarnaev is now in the possession of the FBI and may not have been in that landfill after all, according to CNN. One of the three friends of Dzhokhar’s accused yesterday of obstructing justice allegedly took a backpack full of empty fireworks from Tsarnaev’s dorm room, along with the laptop “because,” curiously, “he did not want Tsarnaev’s roommate to think he was stealing or behaving suspiciously by just taking the backpack.” While the criminal complaint says the college kids then trashed the bag, knowing full well their friend was wanted, it does not mention the computer, which could potentially be a trove of information considering we already know Dzhokhar used the Internet, in some ways, like a normal 19-year-old. But it’s the darker corners investigators will be interested in.
