Citi Bikes may be all the rage this week, but at Bette Midler’s New York Restoration Project’s Twelfth Annual Picnic last night at Gracie Mansion, Parker Posey was full of dread. Vague dread.

I don’t know,” Posey told Daily Intelligencer. “I feel a little Roz Chast about it, like, What’s going to happen here? You know? Like, I don’t know about that. I feel like an old lady, like, Oh, all the tourists are going to come and they’re not going to know where to go and there’s just going to be accidents. I don’t know why I’m thinking that.”

Posey did have one very specific gripe about Citi Bike. “God, I really wish they were kind of in earth tones,” she told us. “There are enough blue banks around this city. I mean, maybe we can vandalize and camouflage, paint them.”
