A 14-year-old shot to death by a stray bullet through the window of a bus in Queens Saturday was new to solo travel, The New York Times reports. D’aja Robinson was coming home from a birthday party, sitting next to the window on the northbound Q6 bus heading toward South Jamaica, when one of nine bullets fired by a single gunman went through the window and into her temple. The shooting had nothing to do with her, police said — until she accidentally found herself in its way.
