Police have made an arrest in the killing of a livery driver last week by a stab to the eye — with an umbrella as it turned out. Officers tracked down Shamel Allen, 28, who lives just two blocks from where the killing took place, after a witness identified him in a lineup. They found him “cowering in the closet of an acquaintance’s home,” the Daily News reports. Cops are still looking for a woman thought to be with him, who fled the scene carrying a white purse.
