Rindfleischetikettierungsueberwachungsaufgabenuebertragungsgesetz, a German word meaning “law delegating beef label monitoring,” no longer exists, apparently. But the new longest German word is also very long and German: Donaudampfschifffahrtsgesellschaftskapitaenswitwe. It means “widow of a Danube steamboat company captain,” and it has never been used by anyone.
