It’s a risky move, one that has already seen the Nets accused of trying to “win the press conference” instead of winning games. But the team shrugged off critics on Wednesday and officially hired one of their best-known alums, Jason Kidd, as head coach, even though the 40-year-old who retired this month has never coached before. Kidd has a guaranteed three-year deal with the team, less than two weeks after he retired as a player. Guy can certainly win the job-search game, at least.
