Vito Lopez never faced criminal charges for the sexual harassment and groping that cost him his job as a New York State assemblyman. But he will get a fine. And at $330,000, it’s the biggest ever issued by the Legislative Ethics Commission, the New York Times reports. Lopez can pay up using his campaign funds, though, so while the fine won’t hurt his personal finances, it should at least make it harder for him to run for City Council, as he’s threatened.
