David Shuster Is Also Headed to Al Jazeera America

Shuster, most recently of Current TV (but best known for suggesting that Hillary Clinton “pimped out” Chelsea during her 2008 campaign and getting caught cheating with CNN while he was employed by MSNBC), will join familiar cable news faces Soledad O’Brien and Ali Velshi at the brand new station, reports the Huffington Post’s Michael Calderone. He’s “expected to anchor an hour in the evening,” though AJAM has yet to confirm its full programming lineup. It also has yet to hire a chief executive, but we’re sure they’ll get around to that before their August 20 launch date.
