We’ve been over this, several times, in relation to bringing guns to the airport, but it appears the reminder must extend to sensitive tourist spots like the Empire State Building. And yet, people keep doing it, like the guy from Georgia who brought his permitted gun to the Empire State Building for a trip to the observation deck on Tuesday. So here’s a rule of thumb: If there’s a metal detector there, you probably can’t bring a gun in. They don’t install those things to detect forks.
