San Diego mayor Bob Filner is now being accused of making “continuous inappropriate sexual advances” on a great-grandmother who works at city hall’s Senior Citizens Service Desk. It’s a claim that would be nearly unfathomable if it was made against anyone else on Earth aside from Bob Filner. The woman (along with her lawyer, Glorida Allred) is set to address the media at 1 p.m. San Diego time.
Update, 5:48 p.m.: In a press conference this afternoon, Glorida Allred and 67-year-old great-grandmother Peggy Shannon accused Filner of kissing Shannon on the lips without her permission, forcing her to touch his hands, and asking her if she thought he could “go for eight hours straight.”
