Just one day after returning from their Martha’s Vineyard vacation, the Obamas welcomed a new member to the first family. According to a post that went up Monday evening on the White House’s website, Sunny – a Portuguese Water Dog who hails from Michigan – arrived at the White House steps earlier today. We also know she’s “full of energy, very affectionate” and that “the First Family picked her name because it fit her cheerful personality.” Successfully dethroning the olinguito as the cute animal du jour, the one-year-old pup will also serve as a play (exercise?) companion for Bo. If you’re still not convinced, the very adorable video that introduced her to the world shows her frolicking with her new brother Bo on the White House and seals her inevitable reign over our Twitter feeds for days to come.
