It’s unclear if Vito Lopez is vain or just lazy, but either way the New York Daily News noticed his car was still sporting official New York Assembly plates up until at least last week, though he resigned in May amid sexual harassment allegations. Whatever the reason, it’s not for any tangible gain, according to the Daily News: “The plates do not confer any special privileges beyond vanity, the DMV said.” He’s been told to change them though, so soon he’ll just be one more regular creep at the wheel.
