When incumbent Charles Hynes, a lifelong Democrat, lost to Kenneth Thompson in the Democratic primary for Brooklyn district attorney, he said he would no longer try to stay in office. But Hynes also happens to be the Republican nominee, and he’s reportedly getting pressure from that party to keep running.
