Millions merely pre-ordered Grand Theft Auto V, but Kirolos Abdel Sayed, 19, Frank Santanastaso, 19, and Matthew Kirsheh, 20, deserve credit for obtaining the game in the most ironic way possible. Sayed, an auxiliary NYPD officer, and his two pals walked into the Staten Island Mall and claimed to be with the NYPD so they could cut a line of hundreds outside GameStop. The ruse worked until they left the mall with their ill-gotten games in a former unmarked police vehicle, which they bought at a police auction. Fittingly, they were busted by a real cop when they blew several stop signs and made an illegal U-turn. They’ve been charged with criminal impersonation, and face up to a year in jail.
