The Seaside Heights boardwalk, which was badly damaged in Hurricane Sandy (remember the underwater roller coaster?), suffered a six-alarm fire this afternoon. The blaze reportedly started at Kohr’s Frozen Custard and spread rapidly because of high winds. No injuries have been reported, but firefighters have struggled to get the flames under control.
“We’re in trouble here,” said Seaside Heights Police Chief Thomas Boyd. “We’ve got major problems.”
