The money will be looked after by a human friend of Monster Girl’s 84-year-old owner, Muriel Siebert, who died in August and left a will “[requesting] that my dog not be left alone for long periods of time during the day,” according to the New York Post. Siebert — who made a name for herself by becoming the first woman to buy a seat on the New York Stock Exchange — willed the rest of her $48 million estate to friends and her charitable foundation, which “supports the furtherance of education in personal financial literacy,” as well as animals “owned by the elderly who are financially challenged.” She also left an additional $10,000 to Manhattan’s Animal Medical Center “to be gifted while Monster Girl is still living,” so that her canine heiress can also experience the joy of giving to the less fortunate.
