Terrible Donald Trump Parody Cost IRS $10,000

In the spirit of its cringe-worthy Star Trek and Gilligan’s Island parodies, the Internal Revenue Service spent about $10,000 creating a mock version of The Apprentice for its 2011 Small Business/Self-Employed Division conference. (Obligatory “You’re fired.”) Today the agency received yet another slap on the wrist from Congress for its “abuse and waste,” a punishment that does not match the shame of the House Ways and Means Committee releasing the clip for public consumption. Colleagues of the video’s stars never even saw the final product because the conference was canceled, which is probably for the best. It is truly awful.
