Adobe Users, It’s Time to Change Your Passwords

The latest large-scale hack and information grab to put millions of users’ passwords at risk targeted Adobe, which said on Thursday it had been breached in a “sophisticated attack” in which hackers stole credit card data, encrypted passwords, and other information from 2.9 million customers. The hackers also made off with the source code for “numerous Adobe products,” according to the company’s blog. But Adobe says it doesn’t think the hackers got unencrypted credit card data. Still, if you have a password with Adobe for any of its myriad products (such as Acrobat, ColdFusion, or Photoshop) and you use that password for other stuff as well, it’s probably good policy to change that pronto.
