The police are either hunting desperately for the world-famous street artist or not concerned at all, depending on which anonymous NYPD sources you believe, but Banksy is not taking any chances. “Today’s art has been cancelled due to police activity,” said the message on the Better Out Than In website this morning. While we initially took the note to be a head fake, it’s been radio silence from Banksy since, meaning his 22-day streak of outsmarting everyone is over. It’s also entirely possible that we just don’t get it.
