The New York Post brings word of a disturbing incident on Sunday in which paramedics responding to a domestic violence call found a litany of alleged child and animal abuses including parents using snakes to discipline their kids. The couple whose fight sparked the call lived in an apartment that housed four children, fifteen pit bulls, two boa constrictors, and a lizard, the paper reports. A neighbor said Jasean Holmes “would put snakes on the kids if they were misbehaving, and beat the dogs if they didn’t do tricks on command.” Ugh.
