In crunching the numbers to determine the per-vote cost of each mayoral primary campaign, the New York Times led with the most outrageous: John Catsimatidis, who shelled out $419 a vote. On the other end of the spectrum, Bill de Blasio got the best deal at $24 a vote, spending $6.8 million for the campaign. Anthony Weiner spent a bit less overall, at $6.5 million, but he still wound up spending the second-highest per vote, at $190. If only that was the greatest indignity of his campaign.
