Stephen Mara is the grandson of late Giants owner Wellington Mara and the nephew of the team’s president and CEO John Mara. And he’s an enemy to motorcycles. Police arrested the 26-year-old for allegedly torching motorcycles and cars in two different fires, one of which spread to a nearby building. Mara “told cops he freaked out because out-of-towners were making a racket revving their bikes and setting off car alarms in the neighborhood” around 26th and Lexington Avenue, the New York Post reports. After the first blaze last Thursday, a security guard at the nearby armory chased Mara but didn’t catch him, per the Daily News. But on Tuesday the guard spotted Mara again, and this time got him in a headlock before calling the cops. To be fair, neighbors told the Post the bikes really were a problem. But fire is a poor solution.
