Ali Akbar Mohammadi Rafie, the Iranian musician who killed himself and three men, including two members of the band the Yellow Dogs, in Brooklyn on Monday, “had five magazines and about 100 rounds of ammunition,” according to NYPD Commissioner Ray Kelly, the remnants of which investigators found in a guitar case on an adjoining building’s roof. Rafie, who used a .308 assault rifle and fired eighteen rounds, was reportedly “despondent” about being kicked out of an affiliated act, the Free Keys.
