New York Gets SUV Fleet for Catching Texting Drivers

New York has launched an aggressive war on texting while driving, but sometimes it’s hard to tell if a driver is fiddling with their phone or inexplicably staring into their lap. Thus, state police have been given 32 tall, unmarked SUVs to allow them to look down at drivers’ hands. According to the AP, the Concealed Identity Traffic Enforcement SUVs, or CITE vehicles, are “mousy gray in color.” See if you can spot them on New York’s highways … or actually, just keep your eyes on the road.
