As examples of Sen. Rand Paul reproducing material without attribution continue to pile up, the New York Times has a new twist to throw into this tale that had threatened to get a little repetitive: Seems Rand Paul has also been a victim of plagiarism, as well as a perpetrator. In this case, the apparent culprit was Greg Brannon, a U.S. Senate candidate from North Carolina whom Paul supports, and the source material was Paul’s own website. The Times gives an exhaustive list of passages on Paul’s now-archived site, in reference to issues such as monetary policy and homeschooling, which appear nearly verbatim on Brannon’s site. But it goes further! Brannon “is a doctor who calls for a strict reading of the Constitution and the curtailment of federal powers.” Plagiarizing IRL?
