Blind Man and Guide Dog Survive Subway Fall

A 60-year-old man and his Seeing Eye dog, a black Lab named Orlando, fell in front of an approaching train in Harlem this morning, but somehow both escaped without serious injury after ducking between the tracks. Although guide dogs are typically trained to stay away from the edge of the platform, a rep for Guiding Eyes for the Blind said, “The dog most likely wanted to still be with his person, and stuck by him,” because they are amazing creatures.
