Confirming that the People magazine “I’m Gay” cover really is a thing of the past, Good Morning America anchor Robin Roberts came out on Sunday in a Facebook post in which she reflected on her health struggles and wished her followers a happy 2014. “I am grateful for my entire family, my long time girlfriend, Amber, and friends as we prepare to celebrate a glorious new year together,” Roberts wrote.

Roberts has been very open about her health issues, from her battle with breast cancer in 2008 to being diagnosed with myelodysplastic syndrome, a rare blood disorder, in 2012. She took time off from GMA to undergo a bone marrow transplant last year, and returned to the show in February 2013. She wrote on Facebook:

According to People, Roberts and Amber Laign, a licensed massage therapist who specializes in patients recovering from injuries, have been together for ten years. “We love Robin and Amber, who we adore and have all known for a long time,” said ABC News spokesman Jeffrey Schneider. “We were so touched by [Roberts’] Facebook message today and so thankful for all the loving support she has in her life.”
