$10 Million Tribeca Maisonette Comes With Original Keith Haring Mural

Photo: Sothebys

We last saw this 8,200-square-foot maisonette in 2010, when it was put up for sale after undergoing extensive renovations. Back then, its size singled it out among others on the market, but that wasn’t its most distinctive feature. This was: a mural that Keith Haring painted on the wall near the front door back when he was a student at the School of Visual Arts (and the space was part of the school). Todd Ernst, an architect who worked on the renovations, told us then that finding the Haring during construction work “was like discovering an Egyptian tomb.” The apartment is on the market once more, and has been for six weeks, according to Streeteasy.com, through Sotheby’s International Realty. It’s asking $10 million and, yes, the Haring appears to be intact.
